NYC EMT Controversy

Early last month Jason Green and Melissa Jackson, both New York City emergency medical technicians, were on a break in a restaurant when Eutisha Revee Rennix, a pregnant restaurant employee, collapsed. Witnesses at the restaurant have stated that Green and Jackson advised restaurant employees to call 911, then left after being asked to help Rennix. Rennix and her unborn child died shortly after being admitted to a hospital. New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg was among those who expressed outrage at the incident, and both Green and Jackson were suspended without pay. Rennix's mother called the actions of the EMTs “inhuman.” However, Green and Jackson's attorney Douglas Rosenthal has said the facts will show that his clients acted appropriately.

Today, Art, Scott, Austin and Nikki discuss what punishment they think Green and Jackson should face for their actions and if they feel emergency workers have a responsibility to perform their job duties regardless of if they are on or off duty.
