The Dallas Prostitution Program

The city of Dallas is taking on a new way of handling the city's prostitution problem – by offering rehab as opposed to jail time for those arrested for the world's oldest profession. Choosing rehab includes a 45-day in-patient rehabilitation program, followed by education, child care and housing assistance. Those in favor of the program admit that the success rate has been limited at best. Of the 375 women arrested for prostitution since the program began two years ago, only half have chosen rehab, and 21 have turned their lives around. Opponents don't think prostitutes should be offered rehab at the expense of taxpayers.

Today Shaun, Nikki, and guest blogger Roseanne Frangione share their thoughts on Dallas' program. After reading their opinions, have your say by leaving a comment.
