Calorie Confusion: Scott Hinkley

The uproar about discrepancies in the nutritional information for popular 'chain' restaurants can only leave me dumbfounded at America's inability to feed itself intelligently. Why should we be concerned that fast food, which borders on toxic and boasts next-to-no nutritional value, is being slightly misrepresented by its vendors. In my opinion, anyone who thinks it is the responsibility of salt and fat salesmen to help keep you healthy deserves the wide range of health problems that await such greedy and ignorant levels of consumption.

So many Americans seem incapable of eating for the sake of their bodies and instead consume solely for the pleasure of their palates. I agree that many of the products being sold as "food" increase the challenges of watching what you eat, but if you think that the steak. shrimp, bacon, fries and ranch dressing, and all for $10, hold anything for your body other than painful digestion and future fat-cells, then I fear for your waistlines and arteries. Stop the laziness. Learn about what you put in your bodies. And stop drinking soda like it isn't a liquid candy bar. It will only leave you more thirsty for the water your body actually needs.
