Toyota recently recalled several models due to an unintended acceleration problem. The New York Times reports that Toyota received over 2,000 complaints about the problem before the recall. The company originally blamed loose floor mats for the incidents of sudden acceleration, until a 911 call from a doomed driver described the unintentional acceleration of his SUV before it crashed, killing all four people in the vehicle. Now, as Toyota's stock price continues to fall, the company is faced with the challenge of salvaging their image.
