The best way to bring Republicans and Democrats together is for everyone to work together at a common goal instead of all the bickering. Now I'm no Obama fan, but I will agree that he has not been given much of a chance to do his job and that is why he is failing. Maybe if he had some support from the Republicans on the Economy things would be better. I don't agree with him on abortion. Indies will have no support in the House or Senate. We are stuck with a Two Party system but we need to reform both parties and weed out the crooks and make everyone work together.
David Loftus, a free-lance writer and actor, is the author of AMERICAN CURRENTS. A native Oregonian who has lived on the East Coast and traveled much of Europe and parts of Asia and Africa, he makes his home in Portland with his wife Carole and toy fox terrier Pixie. David reads more than a hundred books a year and watches an average of less than two hours of television a week. He does not own a car, has no children, and pretty much avoids meat.
